<p>The Moab Entrada profile worked on my old OS, so my guess is the profiles aren't bad. (The Red River profile is new so I don't know if it would have worked on the old OS.) I'm thinking the problem is a minor non-compatibility issue between OS 10.8.5 and CS4. So I can get the results I want using various workarounds, it's just annoying.<br> Yes, I have the "<em>No Color Management</em>" option so I will try that rout, covering to the profile first. <br> Thanks for the advise.</p> <p> </p>

<p>Um, I'm a little lost. I can print in Preview but I don't know how to print with profiles - never used Preview to print. I ran Profile First Aid and it found six damaged profiles but not the one in question. they were all Epson paper profiles. Profile first aid could only fix one of them.<br> Convert to profile? Okay, if I convert the image to the profile in question then how do I configure the print settings Choose<em> Printer Manages Color</em>?<br> I appreciate your wiring with me on this Andrew. I'm going to have to take a break on this issue while I wait for replacement inks to arrive.</p>

<p>Well, yes, I can print with Preview. And I can print with Photoshop, if I choose <em>Printer Manages Color</em>. But I can't print with Photoshop if I choose <em>Photoshop Manages Colo</em>r and choose the Red River San Gabriel Semigloss profile. I did download and install that profile again. Ditto with a profile for Moab Entrada.</p>

<p>Okay, update: When attempting to print with <em>Photoshop Manages Color</em>, everything works fine with some of the generic profiles including the Epson profiles for Epson papers. But if I choose my Red River San Gabriel Semigloss profile, the printer acts as if it's working but it puts out a blank piece of paper. Further, when it's "printing", and I click on the little printer icon that shows what jobs are qued, a PDF icon shows up next to the job listed, whereas, normally, a miniature image appears there.</p>

<p>Andrew, I've already done that but I just did it again. The link you gave me takes me to the Epson site where the procedure to download the printer driver is to use my Mac's Software Update. I did that and I get the same results. The paper slowly goes through the printer and the printer head goes back and forth as if it's printing but the paper comes out blank. (The printer works fine if <em>Printer Manages Color</em> is selected.)</p>
