I don't have any XP-2. But I do have two negative shot on Agfa Vario-XL( the first chromogenic B&W film) ,that were shot back in 1985, that still print and/or scan nicely. They are stored in Print-Vue sleeves.

Of course you do know the lower the speed of the film, the finer the grain. So I assume you question addresses the 400 speed films.
I've always favored Tri-x. It has always come through for both tonality and grain in that speed catagory- as lone as you don't try a push the he** out of it.Others favor Agfa or Fugi Neopan 400. Others say that the most "developer manipulative" is J&C's classic 400.
Now be prepare for an onslaught of recommendations of developers and techniques for processing for fine grain.

Well Ron, I do have a Kiev 4a with an 8. So where do we ship the Depends too?

>I think this lens is maligned for some reason but here is my take:
I think I better get off the dime myself!
P.S. Really liked the rope picture.

Sorta adds a whole new meaning to the term Kodak "Brownie".

one question at a time--
what developer did you mix up and was it a liquid or a powder?

>Can you imagine going out to the park, or a busy street, with this >thing? Just for fun, carry a spade shovel with you. Hilarity!
And just HOW would you explain this one to Homeland Security? ];^}>

ME TOO. ME TOO. I'm sure you could get something here but the 26th. }:^D>
Just a "little" green with envy.

>I'm surprised to see what nice results I was getting from Tri-X >then; I can't seem to get anything worthwhile from it these days.
That's because you stopped using that developer, that no one makes anymore, because an expert said it was no good! }:^)>

Sorry , but everything I run across says 1:15/ 1:20 is the only dilution.
I did find two charts for developer time for different films--
http://web.telia.com/~u54105795/FAQbw_developing_times
So I guess it's up to the experimenters for other dilutions and times.

dunking would only be better if you had 4 rolls and/or worked with tall tanks.

The answer is-

but I don't have the CAS#

Be careful- I Googled on Ilford ID-11 plus. Several supplier said , on their websites, they carry it. When you enlarge the picture, it turns out to be plain ID-11.ID-11 was not the same as old ID-11 plus.
-
from a 1975 data sheet--
for EFKE-21(which is suppose to be the same as PL100) the time for sheet film at 1:1 dilution is 4 min.@ 70 degrees( agitate 10 sec. every 30 sec.).
Other dilution are used for roll and 35mm.
The sulfite was added for reduced grain(usually for 35mm).
Good Luck!

are you asking about "ID-11 plus" that was discontinued in the US back in the 70s?Or is there an "ID-11 plus" somewhere else.
-
Speaking of print developers, Lex. Have you seen this article?
-
>>I'm not either one of them !!!!!
And your still alive! but are you still active at your end?

Will be watching as I'm saving up for a Jupiter 11 for my Kiev 4a.
