Hello,
I took my C-4 lens apart to free up the aperture adjustment. Somehow
I upset the factory infinity calibration. Anyone know any tricks to
getting it back beyond ground glass and a jewelers' loupe? Thanks,
Chris

Hello,
I've got a couple vintage shutters that need CLA (Kodak Supermatic
and Argus C-4) and a couple that I'd like to get timed. I live in
Huntington Beach and would appreciate any recommendations for good
local repairmen. Thanks,
Chris

Hello,
I think I remember reading somewhere that one photographer got
emulsion pinholes when he developed Fomapan 100 in Rodinal. The
problem went away when he started using R09. Has anyone else heard
this story? Thanks.

Hello,
I found a roll of ancient Kodak Verichrome (Not Verichrome Pan) in
one of my box cameras. Any advice for processing times and
developers? I know about Rocky Mountain, but would prefer to try my
own. Thanks a lot.

I don't have a darkroom yet, so I'm using cyanotype to make proofs of
my 120 negatives. The New Cyanotype process is said to have more
contrast range, but I've not tried it yet. Any suggestions? Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
I'm interested in moving up to large format and getting a Speed
Graphic. I'd like to do primarily landscape, architectural, and
portraiture work with it. I've used Graphics before and am familiar
with the pros and cons of Graflok backs, Kalart rangefinders, and the
rear focal plane shutter. What I am still confused about is the
differences between the front standards of Anniversary's and
Pacemaker's in terms of movements. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I'm curious about Fomapan 100 in 120 size. I loved Verichrome Pan
when it was available, and my current favorite is APX 100. What are
user opinions of how Foma compares to these two? Thanks.

I'm shooting 9x12 cm film in my Kodak Recomar, Efke PL100 developed
in Calbe R09. I'm curious about trying Foma 100, but I'm on a college
budget and can't afford to experiment much. How would you guys rate
Efke versus Foma for landscapes and indoor portraiture with tungsten
light? Thanks.

Hi,
I know of a Wollensak Anastigmat series V f6.8 lens mounted in an
Optimo shutter for sale. Its circa 1910 equipment, and I'm looking
for opinions on this lens and shutter. Has anyone had good or bad
experiences with these? Thanks a lot.

Hey all,
Would the Kodak (Nagel) Vollenda with an f4.5 lens have the same lens
as found on the American Kodak Vigilant Six-20 with the f4.5 105mm
anastigmat?
Thanks a lot.

Hi,
I'm borrowing a Crown Graphic from a friend when I go back home for
Christmas break. I have no darkroom. Is there any way to process
large format film and prints without a darkroom of any sort? Thanks a
lot. Chris Rini

Hi,
I'm a college student with a beautiful Kodak Recomar. But I need 9x12
film holders to use it. Any leads greatly appreciated. Thanks. Chris

Glad I'm not the only one. I'm 22 and in my final year of college. I bought a Brownie Hawkeye as a freshman, have tons of box cameras, too many folders, and my Dad's Nikkormat. Probably my favorite user cmaeras are my Kodak Vigilant Six-20 with the Anastigmat Special lens and a Zeiss Ikon 6x6 Novar that I picked up in London last spring. Great to know that there are other young ones out there. If any younger photographers are into the old stuff, they're more than welcome to email me at crini@gonzaga.edu or AIM me at Athanasius80. Happy shooting.

Hi,
I've been playing around with b&w for a couple years but am finally
taking a photo class with darkroom access. They provide Xtol. My
favorite film is APX 100 in 120 size. Most people recommend using
Rodinal. Has anyone tried Xtol either straight or in dilution and if
so what were the results? Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot to the above gentlemen for answers and information. Since I posted I have yet to get a Premo, but I have picked up a Recomar 33. Should be lots of fun. Thanks guys!

Our old friend Verichrome Pan was discontinued last year. Has anyone
else found a film that seemingly can't be misexposed in a Brownie? So
far I've rather liked Agfapan 100 and Ilford Pan-F. Thanks, Chris

Hi,
Will modern 3x4 film fit on a No. 1 Premo for 3 1/4 by 4/14? Thanks,

Hi all, I just acquired a No. 1 Kodak Junior with a Bausch & Lomb
Rapid Rectilinear lens. OD is about 23mm. Does anyone know which of
the old slip on Kodak portrait lenses and filters--if any--would fit?
Thanks a lot, you guys have been able to answer every question I've
had so far.

Hey guys,
I just bought a Mendelsohn Speedgun model E with no flash bulbs. The
instructions say it uses either "midget" or "standard" based bulbs.
is there a conversion table or something I can look to know what make
and model flash bulbs I should be looking for? Its too neat a
contaption to not use at least once.:) Thanks guys!

Hey guys, I found a Vigilant Six-20, shot a roll of film, and it came out really good. The camera behaved itself so I'm happy. Now I want to get a yellow filter and play Ansel Adams. What size Kodak filter will fit it?
Thanks,

Hi Everybody,
I'm a college sophomore who's been playing aroud with various Brownies and Brownie wannabies (like those Ansco's) for about a year. I've just enrolled in Photographic Science, and I have to do a semester lab project. I originally wanted to do a daguerrotype, but 6 people already tried without any luck. Does anyone have a suggestion? Ambrotypes in a Brownie Hawkeye? Adventures with Verichrome Pan and Azo paper?
<p>
Thanks for your guys help and time.

Hey everybody, I just found an old Conley camera that uses 122 film. Is that still obtainable or does one get "creative"? Thanks a lot
