  1. Hello,

I think I remember reading somewhere that one photographer got

emulsion pinholes when he developed Fomapan 100 in Rodinal. The

problem went away when he started using R09. Has anyone else heard

    this story? Thanks.

  2. Hi,

I'm interested in moving up to large format and getting a Speed

Graphic. I'd like to do primarily landscape, architectural, and

portraiture work with it. I've used Graphics before and am familiar

with the pros and cons of Graflok backs, Kalart rangefinders, and the

rear focal plane shutter. What I am still confused about is the

differences between the front standards of Anniversary's and

Pacemaker's in terms of movements. Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot.

  3. Glad I'm not the only one. I'm 22 and in my final year of college. I bought a Brownie Hawkeye as a freshman, have tons of box cameras, too many folders, and my Dad's Nikkormat. Probably my favorite user cmaeras are my Kodak Vigilant Six-20 with the Anastigmat Special lens and a Zeiss Ikon 6x6 Novar that I picked up in London last spring. Great to know that there are other young ones out there. If any younger photographers are into the old stuff, they're more than welcome to email me at crini@gonzaga.edu or AIM me at Athanasius80. Happy shooting.

  4. Hi,

I've been playing around with b&w for a couple years but am finally

taking a photo class with darkroom access. They provide Xtol. My

favorite film is APX 100 in 120 size. Most people recommend using

Rodinal. Has anyone tried Xtol either straight or in dilution and if

so what were the results? Thanks a lot.

  5. Hey guys,

I just bought a Mendelsohn Speedgun model E with no flash bulbs. The

instructions say it uses either "midget" or "standard" based bulbs.

is there a conversion table or something I can look to know what make

and model flash bulbs I should be looking for? Its too neat a

contaption to not use at least once.:) Thanks guys!

  6. Hi Everybody,

I'm a college sophomore who's been playing aroud with various Brownies and Brownie wannabies (like those Ansco's) for about a year. I've just enrolled in Photographic Science, and I have to do a semester lab project. I originally wanted to do a daguerrotype, but 6 people already tried without any luck. Does anyone have a suggestion? Ambrotypes in a Brownie Hawkeye? Adventures with Verichrome Pan and Azo paper?

Thanks for your guys help and time.
