Do you know of any wideangle (35 mm preferably) lens that fits Leica screw mount cameras (or Nikon F mount) that

produces strong vignetting ? Like the Lomo LC-A or Holga lens ? and that can be bought on ebay cheaply ?

Or, as an option, "adapt" a Summaron or Elmar 35mm for that effect ?

Did any of you ever try to "mask" the meter cell of your CLE to turn it into a

spot meter camera like the CL or M6 ?

What are your conclusions ?

Do this work, even if we have to readjust the ASA settings ?

I don't want to do this modification on a permanent basis but rather use a thin

black card board on top of the meter cell hold it in place in some way.

I ask this because I really love those little cameras but I HATE that the meter

being full by any strong light at any part of the frame giving you a wrong

reading.

I decide to go digital and now I have the chance to buy one of this two sets,

a 400D new and a 20D second hand, one owner with 40.000 images taken. The price

is about the same (800 EUR for the 400D kit with lens(18-50) and warrantee, 750

EUR for the 20D with 512 CF card without). I like big finders and good feel in

hands. Megapixels are not an issue here.

Which one would you take ? Thank you.

Hello. I just receive a very nice Bolsey model C TLR 35mm camera.

When I test the camera (with dummy film) I can advance the film but

when I try to rewind it, the sprocket gear does not turn back. On

another Bolsey model B I have, the gear turns back just by rewind the

film with the rewind wheel. Is there a "secret" to rewind the film or

this is some kind of malfunction???

Hello to you all. I recently acquire and old Rolleicord from the '30s

with 11 shots on 120 AGFACOLOR film. The back paper only

says"AGFACOLOR NEGATIVFILM UNIVERSAL" AGFA CN17 processing. Can it be

developed on current C41 ?? Can it be develope on Rodinal or HC110 ??

If so, please give a clue of the times (+/-) for processing. I'm

really curious about the content of the pictures.

Hello to you all. I have a mint Weltaflex that I like very much but

the viewfinder is so dim that is impossible to use. The reason is a

low quality ground glass bu also a very bad condition (silver parts

ripped off from the surface) reflecting mirror.

Do you know of any source that sells (or resilvering) first surface

mirrors online???

Hello to you all and sorry if you think this is a stupid question

but....

have you ever tryed to change a normal frame 35mm camera into a

square format 24mm by 24mm ??

If you think about it for a minute you will find this is not that

stupid. If you have your enlargements no bigger than 30x40cm ( and

this can easely be achived by a good quality lens for 35mm format and

of course a good film (grain) and developer) and if you change to a

square format 24x24mm then you get the 30x30cm enlargements without

compromise quality. Besides, the best "part" of any lens is allways a

circle around the center portion of the image. The lighter and

affordable lens set is no doubt the 35mm line of any brand (Leica

apart).

So if you have done something like this please describe the process.

Hello to you all. I need to adjust the rangefinder (horizontal) of my

beloved Bolsey B2. Is anyone with experience on this?? I see two

major screws inside the film compartment. Is it necessary to remove

them in order to remove the top plate, or do we need to remove the

leatherette on the top around the Bolsey logo??

f:4 lens. Do you ever use one ?? how does it compare with (for

intance) the good Xenon C 50mm f:2 found on Retinas IIIc ?? I

intented to use it for night work, so heavy flair is an issue.

I really like those two cameras and I have them both with uncoated

Tessar's. Compare them with Rollei's 3.5F Planar and with Rolleicord

3.5 Xenar and unfortunatly the uncoated lens are NOT a match for

those newer coated lens (not even for the Xenar) in sharp details.

Both Super Ikontas rangefinders are spot on.

My question is: are the coated versions much better the the uncoated

ones ?? do ever you compare them ??? can some post pictures taken

with coated and uncoated of the same subject ???

good manual for repair Super Ikonta's ??? Or if you have one, I would

like to share a copy of the repair manual for CONTAX II and III.

Also, this camera have a serial # with and asterisk (*). Do you know

what this means?? Is there an online source for identification by

Hello to you all. I have a Rollei TLR 3.5 F (75 Plannar) that I

really love to work with and a 500 CM, which I like. I'm thinking of

upgrading one of the two systems. For the 500 CM it's easy, just got

some money and buy the 50mm, the 150mm, extension rings and a metered

prism (PME). It's almost guaranteed that they all perform well.

But for the Rollei there?s not much options on extend the focal

length. I can get the Mutar?s but they are very expensive. Almost the

price of the complete lens with Compur shutter of the ?Blad. On the

other hand, the Mutar?s are much lighter than the two lenses for the

Hasselblad. I?ve seen on ebay the OPTON version of the Mutar?s but I

don?t know how they perform. Are the Opton versions comparable with

the original West Germany version (optical quality)?? The Rollei?s

75mm Plannar is the best lens I know of. So, in your opinion, which

way to go: the compact Rollei system or the heavy (and guaranteed)

Hasselblad ??

body, 2 backs, 2 finders (one with meter), 3 lens (50, 80 (2.8) and

150 all HFT) and a set of Rollei filters. The seller ask 2000.00 EUR

something around 2400.00 USD and he said that everything is mint

like new condiction. Is this a good price??? What should I look for

on the camera body and backs (I believe they are the most critical

parts on the SL66)???.
