I would just buy a bunch of mailers <a href="http://www.selectsmart.com/A&I/orderform.html" target="_blank">here</a> and FedEx them to the States. Much safer and you're pretty much guaranteed top quality work by one of the top E6 labs in the country. National Geographic photographers still use pretty much exactly this method (except the film goes to <a href="http://www.nationalgeographic.com/labs/index.html" target="_blank">National Geographic's own lab in Washington DC</a>) and if it works for them it should be ok for us regular folks.

I would hardly say spectacular. A couple of the pictures were good (I particularly liked the one that's available as a poster, if only one of the wings wasn't cut off). But for the most part they were pretty repetitive. IMHO they should have sent Frans Lanting or Jim Brandenburg.
