Huw, this kicks so much ass I don't even know what to do. Keep it up man.

An 80A proved to be too much when I was doing that. I used an 80B, and then did a little
work in printing / scanning. I got better results, and less of a filter factor. You'd be suprised
by how much collor correction neg can handle especially when it's well exposed.

Cool Raymond! I'll drop a line when I get closer.
-
Konica still does give out the spacers. Just got one three months ago.

I'm going for work, so I'll have a Carnet for all our the gear I'm taking there. Too bad to hear
that there's not a fun used camera market there. Oh well. Any sights I should be sure to see? I
know nothing about the place as of yet. Thanks all.

Where do I look in Hong Kong for old Leicas, especially screw mount Nikkors? I'll have a little
time to kill there and a nice adventure with cool cameras as a reward sounds perfect.

I've been looking for sample pictures on the forum- I know there have been a bunch. I can't
seem to find any. Thanks Jonas for your image. It looks pretty much fine. Hard to tell from
one sample though. Are there any aperture and focal distances where it is really gnarly?
-
Does anyone have sample pictures showing the 28 'con's bokeh? I am on the fence about
whether to get this lens on the v4 28 Elmarit.

When we shoot, we use eight sandisk 1g extreem III cards. They really smoke along. Give one
of them a shot in your new rig.
-
Nikon F and RF cameras had the same adapter thing. Save a couple of bucks that way.

Bummer.

Are Leica lenses that have serial numbers ending in "00" special? I think I remember that they
were given that number if they were to stay in the shop as reference lenses or something.
Ring a bell anyone?

Kick Ass! Let me know how the Summarit works on it. Go get 'em!

It looks a little beat up. I'd only drop $700-$750 for it. Really clean, then yeah $900, but not
for that one.

Hexar AF is the answer for silent. But, you don't really need a camera to be as quiet as the
Hexar's silent mode when on the street. There is almost always some ambient noise, and that
will do for Leica M cameras.

Really good stuff everyone. I appreciate the feedback. Looks like the SA for me!

Does the 65mm f8 super angulon's rear cell fit down the front standard opening on a 6x9
crown graphic? I haven't gotten both things in the same place at the same time, and was
hoping someone else here had experience with this. Also, how does this lens stand up to the
65mm f6.8 Angulon when used on 6x9? Thanks!

Don Goldberg did the best overhaul I have ever seen on my IIIFRD and added a self timer
while he was at it.
-
Good show Geoff! Keep it up.
-
Photovillage and Tamarkin are the best Leica dealers in the city. As for hotels, try the
Excelsior hotel on West 81st street.
-
Don Goldberg can fix this and he's in the US. Give him a ring.

I saw the Zeiss Ikon at the show yesterday. The body didn't feel well made. My Nikons are way
more solid, as is my G2. Maybe they will get it right, but I wouldn't buy one, even considering
the price being pretty good. The lenses are a different ball game though - very nicely done.
-
I saw the Zeiss 28/25 finder yesterday. Clearer view, but I think the Leica finder is just as
good somehow, also the lines for the 25 looked bloody close to the 28 lines, so it might be
too tight for the 24mm angle of view.

Just did a test with the PL25 and PL100 vs. TXP. Still waiting to see contacts, but there wan't
much of a base fog diffrerence. However, I have noticed when using Rodinol or Acutol (which
I think are in the same basic category as FX39) that base fog levels are higher on any film
than say, XTOL or even HC110B.
