Thats odd I've just been going through Horace Bristol's archive with corbis, fantastic stuff although most of it seemed to be 2 1/4 (I'm guessing rolleiflex) He deserves to be far better known

Just a heads up if anyone is interested!

Christopher Morris
Abbie Trayler Smith
Brian David Stevens
This month we have Abbie Trayler Smith and Brian David Stevens will be showing his ’They That are Left’ Project. For the past 5 years on
remembrance day Stevens has been shooting portraits of veterans, all shot in the same tightly cropped B&W format. The project is based
around the concept of The Unknown Soldier. He will also be showing his ‘Doggerland’ project.
Christopher Morris has become known for his war photography from countries including Yugoslavia, Panama and Russia. More recently
while covering the White House for Time, the magazine ‘discovered’ multimedia and asked him to provide video material for the Time
website. They gave him a small, cheap video camera, Morris found the quality terrible until he began using it in B&W. When he sent his
film from the first day to Time they hated it, said the work was unusable and asked him to give the camera back. Instead he used it again
a month later for another day with Bush. The short film he will be showing is the result.
Running monthly on the second Thursday of the month, Photo-Forum, kindly hosted by Jacobs, is a place for working photographers to
bring images, ideas, photo stories, approaches and work in progress for supportive debate and criticism.
Downstairs in the Jacobs Pro Lounge at
74 New Oxford Street London WC1A 1EU
Drink, Food (free!) and animated conversation in the pub after!

50mm 1.8 which is pretty cheap so it might be better to buy it rather than rent it, you probably won't be able to use flash
and will only be able to shoot the first 3 songs if press access is the same as it is the uk. As jeff says 28-200 covers it. I
tend to use a 50mm 1.4 a 20mm 2.8 and a 80-200 2.8 for gigs

oh nice blog too clive

Wow they look really good, the roughness of the technique really adds to it, just when you thought you were bored with holga shots...
Thnaks for that

Hi Didier
Hadleys are great, the pro is quite a bit bigger. mine have been all over the place and I've
just retired my original one after ten years daily service, never had a problem with water
and remember I live in the uk...
They are tall and thin bags so easy to carry because they don't stick out much when you
are walking along. The hadley pro will easily contain all that gear, its got 3 compartments
in the main body so each camera with lens mounted could sit happily in there and use the
front pockets for film, get rid of the film boxes and bag up the film in it's canisters in
clear plastic bags, take another plastic bag for your exposed stuff, film boxes take up silly
amounts of room, you may also want to take lens cases so you can stack them up one on
top of each other. When I was in Cuba I took an original hadley with 2 M's and 3 lenses and
all the other junk I carry around with me, no problems at all

thing that I still find odd (and keep going on about it sorry!) was that Kleins New York was
released before the americans and was in my opinion the more ground breaking book, yet

Frank's pictures from Wales were taken a mile away from where my grandfather was working
as a miner, I was gutted that he didn't go to their village...

some one you may like this book by Danny Wilcox Frazier
http://library.duke.edu/exhibits/dannywfrazier/
the repro in the slide show isn't the best but you get the idea
-
I'm amazed it hasn't been reprinted, it's considered one of the most important books about
photography. The Americans is being reprinted this year so if anyone hasn't got a copy of
that now's your chance. What I really want is a copy of Klein's new york for a reasonable
price, is that too much to ask...?
