  1. They blow everything behind the focus point into a complete blur of color.

     

    I'm no pro, but I took a picture of a bluebird the other day (its in my portfolio) that turned out better with some work on saturation. I only say this because the blue seems a little lighter in color than what I came up with in my photo.

     

    I don't know if this will work, but I'll try to include a link to the critique request that also includes the original as a frame of reference.

    Surreal Lanscape

    This is a crop of an image taken with my 10D and Tamron 100mm Macro.

     

    I wanted to put it in the landscape category because the reflection

    in the eye looks like what the backyard would look like through a

    16mm or something weird like that, but I figure it really belongs in

    the macro category.

  2. Here's the original (I think...) I'm having trouble adding the photo to the thread.

     

    You can see how I cropped it and enhanced the saturation, as this one looks flat and washed out.

  3. This is a shot from my first foray into bird photography. I think

    it looks alright, but I was so excited about catching the moment I

    didn't think much about composition or how to improve it...
