It always helps to have beautiful subjects. Nice lighting also. Late afternoon? This is a very good shot. As was mentioned, a bit much on the d.o.f. in foreground. You do good work Alex.

Detlaf, if you look closely this photo DOES have flash fill.. I like it. Alex, this is a good shot, even if its a bit blurred it is still better than many photos people might attempt to shoot on the fly with slow film. I like the light coming through the trees, and the fill flash came out very natural (even fooled the previous commentator)... Keep up the good work!

Great shot Cecil... I really cant say much bad about it except i dont like the angle... I would have tried to move down the track some, or just try to click the shutter a bit sooner to get more of the top/front versus the top/rear how the shot turned out... Its always more exciting to get a semi frontal bike shot than a rear/back shot...
Ahh.. who cares.. its a great shot.. and the exposure isnt bad for a DigiCanon.. ;)

Thanks for the comments. However, this was a mountaineering trip, photography was secondary. It was rather cold and we were all rather beat. In the middle of setting up camp, i turned around to see this. Grabbed the camera, (with Porta >160< NC) and snapped this shot, very low light but the Portra really came through. The scan is a bit poor, but this is going to make a beautiful enlargement. The negative is exposed quite well, believe it or not.

Mt. Rainier, July 22, 2002. All critiques and votes are HIGHLY
appreciated!!!! Thanks!

It definately makes a statement. Reminds me of American Fashion circa 1957. Loud, colorful and very abstract. Nice shot.
Sure its cluttered beyond repair, but then again, most fairs are. Send it to Kodak, they might want to use it to promote the colors and their film!

Beautiful in its Simplicity

I love the color and feel. So much life and vibrancy. Something that is often lost in most WTC photos. As always, beautiful architecture and great achitectural contrasts.
The only thing that would make this photo better would have been a wider angle lens with a bit of paralax control and a landscape format, including more of the surrounding designs.
Great use of shape and light, regardless. Thanks for the great shot!

Neat shot. Very Scientific. Needs something though... not sure what.

I see it! This is by far your best shot. At first i thought..."no subjext" But there it is! Wow. This is beautiful.
-
Me too, but unfortunately thats the right-edge of the frame. With the 500mm lens and the speed of the bike i was amazed i even got this much of the bike in the shot.

A shot i took of a good friend of mine racing on his TZ250. Please

Nice shot. Perhaps a bit too posed, but the hair is nice.
-
I agree, the hair makes this shot. Almost scarab-like. Well done.

Thanks for any and all commenst and ratings.

This picture is too cute i don't like it.
Kitten photos should be only shown with pictures of adult cats... a balance of reality... Anyway, cute picture. Cute kitten.

...would make a better title. Nice still life.

Fire away. This is one of my oldest art shots, taken around 1990.
