The problem is in the negative; the print is a faithful inverse. Notice that only part of the negative is a positive - the lamp light in the top right is accurately rendered. Also the negative density is very weak - ie it is almost transparent, so that would indicate underexposure if anything isnt it, although I know I exposed reasonably for the lighting condition.

In a roll of T400CN I shot recently and had developed and printed at
Walmart, a couple of frames seem to have partly recorded a positive
image (seen as a negative in the print). See this link in my portfolio

Also of interest, this was the second frame, the first two frames had
this problem, the next 30 odd frames were perfect - see

One other note: this film was probably bought 2 years ago and
unexposed until last week and stored in a closet.
Any help understanding this appreciated.
