  1. Many kudos from a former DC resident (relocated to TP, Maryland). What is truly amazing is that there are seldom sunsets in DC of photographic value. Often the sun just decends and that's it. Did you wade out into the reflecting pool for the correct angle of the refection or did you go diving for that cable release. I enjoy the look of film but this image also invites thoughts of an HDR image combination.

Now come on John. You know you could be on the other side of the lens too. Not sure if the comments would be the same (beautiful and daring...)but it would give the women viewers something to think about. My wife is always commenting on the lack of stunning male nudes on these photo sites ...

As for the image, I always enjoy what the crew - photographer and model(s)- brings to the table or window. Would she/could you have photographed her in the same position as the billboard?

John -- I like the image as slightly blue. It could be early evening or early morning. Intrigue can be subtle and by influencing the light you have asked us to walk down thought paths that a white "balanced" light would not. I wonder as much about the long cord leaving the frame as I do the fleeting moment of the model before us. I'd like to hear how women perceive the subtle change in light temperature. Thank you for making us think on a sunny winter afternoon here in the states.

    Brian,

Beautiful image. I almost see the single tree as a farmer looking over the field. Maine, Scotland, and the English countryside are some of my favorite haunts as well. I need to add Italy! Could you provide more information as to the location/time of year. Your entire portfolio of images is quite inspiring. Keep shooting and posting. Cheers.

  2. John - great image, nice use of fill flash. How many sols did you have to pay the lamb to smile. This image reminds me that I have to post a smiling lama photo. Only constructive criticism would be to use a curves adjustment layer to increase contrast and saturation, add +2-5 yellow to warm the skin tones slightly. But this is only my opinion and not a need to do. Hope you had a fun trip in Peru!
