I have the exact same problem you describe. It affects only the main command dial (on the back). I've tried giving it a bit more use and burried the camera in rice to absorb any humidity it might have inside. That helped a little, I did notice that, but it's still far from perfect.

Thank you for your answers and suggestions.
The problem is not in the USB cable, I checked that too. It can't also be a fuse since it doesn't have one. I've thought about the power supply too. Anyway, I've already sent it to Minolta for a repair cost 'preview'. Now I'll just hope it won't be too expensive since I really like this little scanner.
Best wishes and a happy new year!

Hello!
Recently I purchased a 2nd hand Minolta Dual Scan II to scan my
negatives and I was very pleased with the results and all was OK (my
last scans were 2 days ago). But yesterday, when I normaly turned it
on the led on the front wouldn't blink. I found it odd and then I also
saw that XP doesn't detect it anymore (nor does the software that
comes with it). I've already tried it on 2 other PCs and I can't
install it since Windows does not detect it. I know about computers
and I think I've already tried all there is to try. I think that the
problem would be 'before' the USB connection since the front led
doesn't blink anymore (some kind of autotest failure?)..
Well.. I'm thinking about sending it to repair but nevertheless I'd
really like to know what you guys think and if you've experienced some
similar problem.
Thank you in advance!
1st C41 home development - Strange spots on negative
in The Wet Darkroom: Film, Paper & Chemistry

Hello everyone,
Today I delved into the exciting and 'dangerous' world of C41 development.
I used the Digibase kit and I'm pleased to say that the results are very encouraging, with nice colors and contrast, except for one (big) detail. There are some weird spots on some of the photos (about 5). Attached are the two most obvious examples. Can anyone tell me the reason for this?
My development procedure:
- 2 mins preSoaking at around 30º
- Development at 40.5ºC
- Bleacher at 38º
wash 2-3 mins
- Fixer at 38º
wash 2-3 mins
- Stabilizer at 38º (with normal dose of photoflo for 500ml solution)
Thank you very much in advance.
