Thanks David, especially as this is not really the photography I like to do, I was in the old factory looking for locations to use for some model shots and I bent down to pick something up off the floor, when my eye caught the flowers and click I had the shot.

Another good shot by you, the only thing I would have done myself is just to burn the highlights in a little more, just to stop them distracting your eye.

Very good tonal qualities, and I see you still use TMax 100 it was my favourite B&W film, total control, I wish I could get the depth and feeling of film into my digital photographs, might be time to dig the Bronica out and shoot some film. Also before I rattle on more about film, I think the composition is good, the other things in the shot just add to the mood, well thought out. (6)

Hi Mark, I like the symmetry of this shot and the lighting, good strong shadows, and not burned out in the  light, I maybe would have made the crop a little longer, maybe just to the top of the thighs, hard to judge without seeing the original, and unfortunately I am not too big a fan of grain especially on women, but that's just my preference.

Over all a pleasing shot. (5)

And as a footnote if you like, the first critique that you got, was from another photographer who doesn't appear to shoot this type of subject, which seems to be the norm for a lot of critiques of the Nude form, not just this site but quite a few sites I post my work on, and inevitably the most comments I receive are from photographers, who apparently photograph flowers or pets, yet seem to enjoy looking at my nude work and criticising it.

Don't get me wrong, you don't have to make ice cream to know that you like it.

But please when commenting, it is always more relevant   if it has come from someone who actually works in that field.

I suppose you could find a better forum for this shot, as it would appear that it will always collect the obvious remarks. As for the photograph, I would have preferred more DOF as some of the subject looks a little soft ( no pun intended) the lighting I like. And as I said it is a shame that this subject will get comments for all the wrong reasons.
