Nice shot with great light. I don't think the grass does anything for the image though, and I too would crop the bottom, but I would crop it not too far below the gold colored grass. I think it leads you better into the image and lends the beautiful sky a little more emphasis.

Paul, I really like the mood and composition on this one. Thanks for the additional explanation, very helpful/interesting.

Terrific composite, and excellent details to shadow and lighting.

Wow, absolutely stunning!

Wonderful image! Yes, the clouds really help make it.

Magical, has a great feeling to it.

Very nice, I too really like the lighting on this.

Thomas, some always wish for more. Very nice capture, wish I were there to see it, with or without camera in hand.

I really like both of these, but I prefer the trees in this one slightly more. Both are wonderfully dramatic shots.

Jim, the knowledge shared by professionals here like yourself, is a great help and inspiration to many of us. I very much appreciate you taking the time to explain your techniques so thoroughly, and your willingness to share.
Thank you,

Elizabeth, I am always impressed with your images. Very beautiful and dreamy. I have been playing with different layers of lighting and blurring, but I have yet to really achieve what I want. Is there any chance you would be kind enough to share a little more detail of how you achieve the soft spot type lighting that is often part of your work? You may reach me off forum if you like. Thanks, Dana

I really like this. May I ask, did you have to select and paint each petal to achieve this, if so it's well done and i'm sure very time consuming.
