You get the sense of being there straightaway with this image. I love the sense of being in the cabin looking through the window and seeing the tug boat and the icy waters surrounding the boat. Technically, I only have one comment, the skyline that you have would be better if it came down by 25%. Superb.......RVB

Mr Mulholland, I like the shot it has good emotion. I believe film would have been the better medium, the digital noise is quite distracting.

Philip, Here is a link to a few pictures of Pierre Verger. The book " Pierre Verger Photographs 1932-1962" is great. He too traveled extensively through alot of countries (Africa, Carribean - Haiti, Asia - Vietnam and China, North and South America) photographing the people. The resemblence that I see with you and Verger is that you both get off the beaten track and merge with the local people who seem to be comfortable with and trusting of you.
