Good to see something that you have taken not with a blue sky. I like this shot a lot, only thing is that it?s hard to give this scene a sense of scale so possibly having someone standing in the frame would help but that is just a "maybe"
Like it as it is. 6/6

Not hoping to offend you or anything like that but if I have to be honest your other shots are so good that this isn?t anything special compared to them.
What I am trying to say that compared to your best shots here on photo.net this would get a 4/4 from me BUT if this would have been taken by some photographer whose work I am not familiar with I would rate it 6/6.
Please understand that this is a good shot and I would be proud to have taken it myself.
(I gave it a 6/6, just for the record)

Good shot. 6/6

Very fitting title. Good shot and as always I love the sky. Not your best shot but still way better than most shots you see here at photo.net. Easily a 7/6 in my books.

Great shot, absolutely nothing that could have been done better in my opinion. 7/7

Good shot, good sharpness and colours but there is still something missing to draw me in, like a different coloured flower og just a frame around the picture. 5/5

Uh... I hate that kind of bird with my life but nice shot. 6/5

I was thinking the same thing as Salvatore, with the cloud looking like a feather pen. Love the shot, nothing else to be said. 7/6

Interesting shot, looks like a logo for a computer software company or something like that. I would rate it higher aesthetically but it looks soft to me and the black space around the fire or whatever that is in the backround dont help. 5/6

I am sorry, and please take this as only my opinion but to be honest this watercolour effect you put on this shot, it destroys it completely for me. 3/3
-
Either too much DOF or too little in my opinion. Either the grass should be totally out of the DOF or in it, not halfway as it is in this shot. 5/4

Totally and utterly agree with Christian about the photoshop "weathering" effect.
This looks like it could have been a nice shot but as far as I am concerned, it?s pretty much ruined but please just take this as one morons opinion, if you like it, thats the most important thing and just ignore me then.
3/5 (since the effect is at least original)

Agree with the wignetting, it sure doesn?t help but nice shot, good colours and composition. 6/5

Nice try in my opinion, but not working. The main subject is too small and underexposed and not nearly interesting enough, plus placing it in any other portion of the frame than in the center is a challenge to pull off, and it didnt work this time. 4/4

Sorry but nothing spectacular but not bad at all either. Looks like you were trying something different by cropping the shot into a panorama but I dont think its working to its aesthetical benefit, I find the bottom necessary but nice try. 5/5

Fair enough Annika, and hope you took no offense.
Maybe you should try playing around with reflectors or use a white "umbrella" that lets light go through and use it to "shield" the subject, it will soften up the light nex time.
-
Excellent, but you could have used a slightly smaller aperture to get the second bird, the one on the bottom right more into the DOF. 6/5
-
The lighting you used for this one is way to harsh, if this is lit by a flash wich it looks like then you should try and bounce it around or use a reflector. 4/4

This is insane, how good can you possibly get really? It?s hardly fair towards those like me who desperatly try to do macro work but don?t come close. Anyway I have been following your work from afar, seething with jealosuy and it?s all pretty much perfect but this shot, it?s just amazing. Congrats, easy a 7/7 and possibly more if the voting system would allow it.
Just one question since I own similar equipment. What precisely are you using to get these shots. I have a tripod, 10D, 105mm Macro Sigma and a slave flash setup for lighting so what is missing in this formula besides from skill? Any tips would be very helpful.

I don?t understand why you included the streetlights in this shot, it almost completely ruins it for me personally but excellent idea and good exposure of the moon, I know it?s very easy to blow up the highlights of the moon in shots like these.
I took the liberty to crop out the streetlights (or whatever they are), what do you think?

Second that, I didn?t think the other one was anything special and rated it 4/5 but this, this looks very cool. 7/7

Your best shot as far as I am concerned, I love the wignetting effect you put on this shot and the blurriness but I think you overdid it just a little bit on the lower part of your fathers face, the beard just turns into one big shadow. 6/6
What is on the other side?
