Sure Hasan, 30 seconds, f2.0 and iso 1600, overexposed the shot about half a stop and darkened in raw conversion to keep the noise at a minimum. :)

Patrick: Sure, no problem, settings were 20 seconds, f2.0 and iso 1600, overexposed the shot about half a stop and darkened in raw conversion to keep the noise at a minimum :)

Any comments and ratings appreciated. I normally have very tough skin

when it comes to critiques though but this is a photo of my wife so I

would appreciate it if you have something negative to say about her

that you keep it to yourself but if you want to critizise the

photography itself, Im all ears :)

  1. Since a couple of you ask how this image was taken, here it is :)

Camera settings were 30 seconds, f2.0 and iso 1600. Image was then darkened in raw processing stage. Scene is totally low contrast so I had to do a curves adjustment on the sky and foreground seperatly, very slight dodge/burning and that?s it.

I put some more info over at DPC since this was entered in a challenge over there, here is the link -> http://www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=429294

No photo manipulation other than the essential basic "digital darkroom" really. Stars are authentic, neither added or took away a single one.

Thanx for all the comments guys, I really appreciate them, this is one of my favorite images of last year!

  2. Awesome shot, one of your best. This is fantastic, love the purple colour tint.

Dont get me wrong but I am also very glad to see you do something different than your excellent wide angle shots. 7/7
