Even the raw has fairly solid color rendition. Importing it, adjusting contrast and blacks and reducing to jpg increased this somewhat.
-
Wonderful photo considering you stumbled on it and set up with an ND grad. Symmetry, constrained color palette. Very strong photo.
-
Perfect composition and mood (other than lens/flare artifact in lower left).
-
Effect is over "keystoned" from perspective.
Colors nicely saturated but reds perhaps too much in post(?).
The dark bush on right detracts from the general tone.
-
Critique welcome.
Photo is grated tungsten light off of a DVD that has spend a few seconds in the
microwave.
Just for fun mind you...

Why are we allowing illustrations to take over from photography?
-
This is a very sharp illustration - it is not a photograph.
The sky is cloudy, yet the shadows are sharp. This is not a photograph.
Illustrator forgot to add the shadows for the headlights and goose on the front of the wagon.
I would invite photo.net to stop using the ambiguous "Unknown or Yes" for photos and have it be simply: Manipulated or Not manipulated.
And then a filter for viewing photos that ex/includes manipulated images per the viewers choice.
This is supposed to be a photo website. And while some photos are more or less enhanced, this one is a pure illustration. Funny, cynical, clever. But not a photograph.

I don't know what the best fighter was, but anyone with even a smattering of aviation knowledge would with fondness elect the P-51D in the photo. Indeed Goring declared victory for the Allies when he learned that the P-51 was escorting bombers all the way to Berlin.
The F-4 was never much of an airplane (IMO), merely loud, smoky and could carry the ordinance. The F-15 just looks so damned good and is a great air superiority bird (not the E version shown, however). The F-22 is no doubt an airman's dream for tactical advantage.
Another single engine fighther should be in this shot: the F-16.
And another twin engine fighter should be included: the P-38.
( Note that the P-51 was built by North American; the F-4/15 by McDonnel-Douglas and the F-22 by Lockheed-Martin/Boeing. These are not all "Boeing" products, IOW).
This photo is good, but not critically sharp and seems a little under-saturated.

2008.06.08. The average price of gas in the US hits $4 per US gallon. I set up this
shot to commemorate this long feared threshold. Is it certain that we will see $5.00
this year?

Magical. Both a great image of falls and a wonderful pattern/abstract.
-
... oops , meant upper left!
-
A most thoughtful composition. As others have pointed out, the anchor subject in the front seemingly echoed in the successive trees is very well brought off. As a B&W, the contrasts are beautifully executed. The highlight at the upper right is a little distracting.

A small piece of birch bark caught my attention during a walk...
-
Very strong image, well composed. Beautiful color and contrast.
Over sharpened perhaps (halos around man and on horizon).
-
I think it beautifully executed but a trite title and theme. Anne Geddes would relate ... and that's not a compliment.
Certainly "Nevermore" is a much better and more thoughtful image.
IMO you should not have put your initials in the image.

Dean, I for one believe your shot is real, not to mention fantastic. I'm also willing to publicly certify it as real if you will send me the RAW file. As the RAW is quite large, you could post it on an ftp for DL.
Regards,
Alan

Nice image but one suspects the photograher clich頯f a spray bottle to 'dew' the image. Usually renders nice effects, but can be tedious if overdone in a collection.
What I do like in this image is the unusual color range. Centered composition is overdone as well.

Again you dazzle!
Cheers,
Alan
