Bob,
If it's not too late. Get Fuji NPZ (ISO 800) as the main film, since you never know how really bright the site is, and also have 5-10 rolls of Kodak BW400CN (you can push it all the way to 1600).
Shoot at will!
Good Luck!

Philip,
get a used, but not abused EOS3 and use BOTH bodies at the same time. For example, your 20D could be a primary camera and EOS3 a secondary. If you're not sure about the shot - take it with your digital - costs nothing, but worth the experience. IMHO, photography isn't about equipment that you use , but about the end result - a picture.
Good luck!

Kathy,
if you got some 550 bucks to spare, I would go for the Canon 17-40. Useful on both Rebels - film and digital. Please don't forget that digiRebel has a crop factor (maginification) of 1.6 and it will turn your 17-40 into a ~28-64 mm lens.
Be careful at the Grand Canyon! It IS slippery when wet!
Best Regards,
Max

Alan - everything depends on how much money you wanna spend on it. Some people have enough money and desire for 17-85, some for 17-40, and some for 16-35. Quality wise some are better than others - 16-35 is better than 17-40 at 35/40 mm, while almost identical at the wide end. Go to a well staffed store where you can try any lens you like and shoot 5 shots at every focal length, then download to your computer and make a comparison for yourself.
Have a nice shot!

Kinda late, but still - A&I all the way. I usually send in anywhere from 20 to a 100 rolls at a time and get it back within 4 days. Have no recent (5 yrs) experience neither w/Fuji nor Kodak lab.
Happy holidays!

none at all, unless you got money to burn.

Regina,
Please spend 10 minutes with the most useful book you can read on your brand new Elan 7e - your User's Manual. It comes in the box with your beatiful camera and will save you alot of time and aggravation.
Good luck! Good Shots!

Rakesh,
Bill is absolutely correct. f/4 comes without the tripod ring (some US$100 plus), however it is very light and even if you put your Elan and f/4 on the tripod it would not feel very unbalanced. However, tripod rings makes for a horizontal to vertical and vice versa format change a snap.

I have f/4 and f/2.8 IS. For light weight combo go with the f/4 (especially w/Elan 7), for this extra stop or two or three go with the faster film, unless you absolutely, positively must spend the stinking US$1,600 plus for f/2.8 IS. Good luck!

I always look at the price/performace ratio. In this case 7e @170 is a clear winner.
