i use a frontier 370 at work, and i find the B&W channel is more like greyscale. you lose alot of contrast. if you scan it in as a color neg, it's much better, i think.

um...
you know, i really don't have much to say on that one, but...
um.

welp, i'm not a technically trained guy, so i can't give you a technical answer. but i've owned and shot with a tamron 28-105 2.8 for a good two years now, and i personally love the lens. most of my shots are taken with this lens, if you'd like to see. keep in mind, any technical probs with the pics are probably due to my lack of skill as opposed to the lens' performance.

i've been on a tear with my rebel xs(now A1 since my rebel crapped out) and tamron 28-105 f/2.8 for about two years now. i rarely find myself needing anything outside of that lens for my shots.

and some lines, too.

i wouldn't imagine the light to be all that harsh during that time. i'd just nix the flash, and use the reflector. or find a spot in the shade. i took this shot in downtown san fran last month, about the same time frame on a very bright day. i found a doorway on the shady side of the street, and the glass from the panes and the tile on the ground made for ample light and some nice reflections in the eyes. i didn't even need the reflector.
