1.
Does anybody know what the smallest/lightest 5x4 camera is? I'm looking for something which I can pop into a bicycle pannier along with 2 or 3 lenses and 5 film holders. Low weight is not the most important factor but compactness when folded is as space will be at a premium.
Thanks in advance for your replies,
Andy.

  2. This is probably a daft question and I bet the answer is obvious but

I must confess to being completely baffled. I recently bought a 2nd

hand 90 mm Super Angulon on a recessed Linhof Technika panel. The

bit where you attach the cable release appears to have no thread

inside to take my (standard) cable. The red housing for the release

does however appear to be sprung which suggests to me some sort of

bayonet attachment for the cable release. If I am right in this it

would appear that I've got to buy some sort of Linhof specific cable

release. Is this correct? Or is it more likely that there was a

threaded housing in it and its somehow fallen out? (I can't go back

to the dealer because I bought it on a trip abroad.) I await with

eager anticipation the answer to these questions, which will no doubt

    prove my technical incompetence.

  3. I'm looking to get a backpack for my LF equipment (currently a Wista

    45VX but I'm considering getting a Sinar F2). I've narrowed the

choice down to the Tenba Photo Backpack PBL P264, which is

specifically internally configured for LF gear and the Lowepro Road

Runner AW which is billed as being able to take LF. The big

advantage of the latter is that it has wheels and a dragging handle

whereas the former seems to be ideally laid out for all the

    components of LF kit.

Can anyone comment on the relative plusses and minuses of these two

backpacks? Thanks in advance for your help.

  4. Photografie Draussen (now Naturfoto) is far and away the best, but there is a relatively new British magazine called Outdoor Photography which is very informative - although most of the locations discussed are in the UK which might not be of too much interest to Can/US readers.
