i think you really captured it here. good sense of movement and style. the fisheye is perfect for making it seem like you're right in there. surprisingly little distortion for such an extreme focal length.

can blue men sing the whites?

the pain you are feeling (the limitations of the equipment and technology) still might be overcome. what if you shot this from a different point of view, somehow, so more brick detail could be seen? - instead of everything being a uniform distance from the lens.

a different crop, maybe... there's a dust speck there (you will learn to brush these out with photoshop). his frizzy hair at the top of forehead, i find a little distracting on an otherwise strong image. something someone suggested to me also applies - more detail in the eyes would be very helpful (more LIFE in the eyes was how they put it). i've been looking at this a while and wondering if i like the way his head is cocked? i think i do, but if it was at slightly less of an angle would that firzzy hair also go out of the frame? finally (and don't take this the wrong way) it is DEFINITELY. you didn't come here for a spelling lesson but that just looks bad. try typing in Word (which will correct on the fly) and then paste in here...

are you really a tortured artist or is this a ruse? you look sincere (sort of)...

i'd like to see the sky exposed better even if it meant some of the building detail was lost in darkness, i think... and some more interest in the foreground.

liked the light and the feel of it but the mat and frame are very distracting...

i think it's great without the bird. the foreground is nicely detailed, the little pool on the LH side... the sliver of land in the distance, the snow topped mountains.

would have liked this better in all B&W. the interesting part is the oblong anvil shape of the pier and the blue behind takes away from that.

it seems like the sharpness of the vignette is a little discordant with the fuzziness of the image.

i didn't see the UFOs but the face in the center cloud was really something!
