Hi,
I carry an EC in my pocket and have 4 iiis and a minox enlarger. I develop & print at home. I haven't shot color film in a while but want to get back into it.
I recently took my iiis to Wetzlar during a trip and took some photos there. I will post a few images here soon.
Currently working on building a slitter.
Good to see others are still using these cameras as well.

You may find US patent number 4,123,144 applicable.
From www.uspto.gov

Walter Mandler was one of my heroes. The 35 1.4 design as well as the Noctilux are legends. I admired his dedication and vision in bringing these optical designs to life. If anyone has a list of US patent numbers that are connected to him, I would love to find out. Especially pre 1975 patents are of interest to me.

If memory serves me right, the panorama mode on the R1 involves an additional lens (or a lens group) being dropped in place when the mode is selected. If you do this with the camera bacl open I believe it is possible to see it.

My experience with the p150 was pretty bad. I bought it new for $300 and after only a couple of years light duty use, ended up giving it away. The slide feed mechanism was not working. I would stay away from the p150 and go with a koday carousel.

Try Minolta G400. The Minolta website explains the incredible speed of this camera (for a P&S). Unique autofocus technolgy. I do not know about the low light performance.
