Unfortunately, the League has only allowed a few hours for photography before the ball games start. They are not going to have a separate picture day this year so I have to work fast. I clearly need to hire a few more people!

A local little league organization would like me to do their T&I photography this April. I am a professional photographer with experience in a lot of areas except T&I. This is my first T&I event. I am trying to figure out a realistic approach for me to pull this off. Since I earn my living as a photographer I want to do a good job and leave a good impression.

Can someone with experience critique my plan and advise me accordingly. We should have about 200 kids. 14 teams, 14 kids per team. The league is supposed to give me a list of all of the teams. I have to set a time to photograph each team and notify the team coaches of their designated times.

I'll have to to put on at least one person to collect payment envelopes, get all of the kids information on a signup sheet and organize the front of the line. My plan is to hold a team out of the line until the whole team is present.

I will have one camera set up for individual portraits and photograph each player as each team parades through. Hopefully I can do one individual about every 30-45 seconds. (hopefully less)

As the individual portraits are taken the players will move on to a station 2 where an assistant (my wife) will organize and pose the team. Lights and camera will be waiting for the team shot in which case I may step over and take the shot myself or, have my wife shoot the team image. I'm still undecided here.

The equipment that I'll probably use for the individual portraits:
Canon 5D on tripod
85mm 1.8 or 1 80-200L for flexibility
Quantum Q flash with freeXwire sync
turbo battery & 1 backup turbo battery.
light modifier (wind permitting) maybe 1 reflector for the weak side and possibly a scrim jim to keep direct sun off players as the designated photography area will have strong sidelight.

My equipment for the team shots:
canon 5D on tripod
24-70L set and taped at 35 to 50mm
2 white lightnings (with umbrellas if wind permits)
vagabond battery pack
FreeXwire flash sync

I am thinking 2-2.5 hours to do this. Am I on the right track or is this completely unrealistic? Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions

Thanks Marcus. I appreciate your input. Can you recommend a specific lab that specializes in sports? I have several pro labs that I work with that do sell sports items. However, it would be great if I could have someone else do the packaging. I've been searching the net but I'm not too impressed so far with what I have found. Thanks again for your help.
