  1. Shot several Atlantic Salmon rivers this summer for clients. The

waterfall on the photo is about 8 feet tall. Several hundred Salmon

where running this day and jumping this waterfall. Shot with Nikon

D300S at 400 ISO. All comments and rating welcome.

    Melting Away

          4

The ice on our planet is rapidly disappearing and this image shows

the end of a million years of existence. The glaziers in Iceland can

move several hundred meters a year before they brake off in huge

chunks and float around in the Glazier lagoon for couple of years.

Slowly but surely they melt and end up in the ocean where the waves

finish them off. All comments and rating welcome. Thanks

I am glad that you Jamie and Kelly picked this up. I was waiting for someone to comment on this. Getting a lightning at night is no problem but I have only seen a handful of photos of lightning during day, and the reason is that you have to "hit" it dead on! To take this image I just kept the shutter down and shot 20 images at the time with my fingers crossed that I would hit one. We where playing golf and there was a thunderstorm delay (as you can imagine...). Thanks for your comments.
