Oh gosh, the only one you got out of 500 shots? You must be so disappointed:) This shot is fantastic. I thought maybe you were using ND filters but you did this the hard way. I can't remember seeing another daytime lightning shot. And, on top of all that, the composition is great and the lighting on the golf green completes an outstanding shot. Congratulations on your 1 in 500.

When I saw the thumbnail of this I thought that it was photoshop. This really is fantastic. I don't think many people know just how hard it is to do this. Night shots are pretty easy, but day shots are something else. Congrats, I don't know why this one isn't at the top!

I am glad that you Jamie and Kelly picked this up. I was waiting for someone to comment on this. Getting a lightning at night is no problem but I have only seen a handful of photos of lightning during day, and the reason is that you have to "hit" it dead on! To take this image I just kept the shutter down and shot 20 images at the time with my fingers crossed that I would hit one. We where playing golf and there was a thunderstorm delay (as you can imagine...). Thanks for your comments.
