I would have to say a tad bit more depth of field would be nice. To me it would more visually pleasing if the whole fish was in focus. Otherwise not bad for your first attempt! -
Nice shot! You must drive a lot faster than I do though! Last time I checked it was over 40 miles from Anchorage to Portage Lake :).

Nice Shot! Have you looked at this in B&W? I pulled it into photoshop, converted it to grayscale and brought the brightness down to about -66 and it looks like a forest from those cheap spooky kids horror books I used to read! Thanks for sharing this photo! Out of curiosity what time of day was this photo taken? It looks sort of misty in background.

This shot is amazing! I love how the fireworks tie in with the clouds and the buildings. I don't think I have ever seen a fireworks photo so well balanced! Very well done!

It looks like a flower... maybe? I am not getting what you were trying to do here. Having NOTHING in focus in a photo never really works (at least in my experience).

You couldn't of asked a model to pose any better yet alone a cat! It is a great photo with a great subject!

Steven, I didn't record any exposure information for this photo but I can tell you that I spot metered off of the blue sky just above the horizon.

Brian, I am not sure what tree you are referring to. The pole in the middle of the photo is one of the poles for the chair lift at the ski resort. If you look to the right of the pole you will see one of the chairs for the chair lift hanging. Happy New Year and thanks for your comments!
