... and Hasselblad told me a few minutes ago it's better to use the 240V position.

Hello Steve,
although I switched from Hasselblad to Contax 645 a few years ago for landscapes (only!) I would prefer the Hasselblad. Macro, nature, and wildlife is another story ...

Hmm.. not Western Europe, if then Central Europe ...

Hello Andreas,
on the bottom of my PCP 80 there is a switch to choose between 220 - 130 - 240 - 110 V. I use mine in position 220 V even though the new standard is 230 V here in Germany since a couple of years. You also need an additional Western Europe power cable or an adaptor.

Hello David,

That's incorrect. Have a look at the elements of the lens, this is a typical symmetric Gaussian construction.

All "Distagon" lenses, as the name implies.

Hello Paul,
no chance with a 45 mm lens. You need at least a 135 mm lens ( an enlarger lens or a lens for a large format camera) and a self-made adaptor.
Maybe you can use the 5.6/135 Macro-Planar for the hasselblad bellows in conjunction with the HAM-1 adaptor to focus to infinity. When looking at the technical data of the auto-bellows (minimum extension) I think this should work.

Hello Gary,
you can use the 1.4x in combination with the 120 Macro-Planar but only for larger magnification ratios. Just put the 32 mm tube between Mutar and 120 Macro-Planar. The results are great.

The focal length doesn't change when using a DSLR. The angle of view changes, so the magnification ratio stays the same.

Hello John,
I use the Bellows Lens Hood on all my lenses from 45 to 210 mm. I don't want to carry around five different types of fixed lens hoods. I also use polyester filters (LEE) but I recommend you to buy additional filter holders (this slide-in filter masks) to mount each filter separately. I've bought this additional masks (10 pieces) directly from Kyocera, Germany a few years ago, price was about $ 2.50 apiece.
But you can't use fixed mount filters in combination with gel filters. The slide-in mask won't fit anymore. Perhaps it will work, when your filters are small, mine is a little bit to bulky.
When using the bellows hood in combination with the 210 I fix an additional selfmade black mask in front of the hood to shadow stray light more effective.
Though the hood is not perfect (the possibility to use graduated filters would be nice, but I've found a workaround) I like it very much.

Hi Fred,
I'm using the following equipment for macro work:
Contax 645, Apo-Macro-Planar 4/120, extension tubes 13, 26, and 52mm. When I need more working distance I use the following combination: 4/120 plus extension tube 26 plus Mutar 1.4x. For higher magnification ratios I use the 2.8/140 in combination with 2.0/80 coupled together with the help of a reversal ring.
And last but not least: The 4/350 is also a great "macro"-lens ...

Hi,
- you can attach a polarizer to any lens (45-210) in combination with the bellows hood. But you have to adjust the polarizer before attaching the bellows hood. But when a filter is attached to a lens you can't use the "slide-in" gelatine filter holder masks any more.

Hi Malvin,
have a look at http://www.hassi-foto.de and send an e-mail to Mrs. Christine Hoeppner. That's one of the best address for second hand Hasselblad equipment here in Germany. I'm sure she will try to help you.

Hi Bjorn,
I've sold my Hasselblad 6x6 and my Contax 35mm stuff and bought a Contax 645 a few years ago. No I have the best from "both worlds", medium format and autofocus in one equipment. Don't worry about the lenses, they are great !

Thank you Dirk,
but it was definitely a communication problem between body and lens. It was fixed by Kyocera/Germany in three days and for free !

Hello,
my dealer, Mrs Hoeppner, Hassi-Foto, Germany, sent mine (also a Distagon F 2.8/50) directly to Hasselblad, Goeteborg a few years ago. In the end, this was cheaper than doing the same thing by Hasselblad, Ahrensburg in Germany.

Hello !
I've just bought a second hand Contax TLA 360 flash for my 645
equipment. It seems funny to me but when using the 4.0/350
Tele-Apotessar on my 645 the autozoom reflector of the flash is moving
into position "24 mm"! Normally I would expect zoom reflector position
"85mm" which gives the narrowest cone of light. The autozoom function
works fine in combination with all my other lenses, so I don't think
that the flash has a malfunction.
Are there any owners of the 4/350 out there using the TLA 360 (or
another flash with autozoom function) ? Does the autozoom not work
with a 4/350 or is mine faulty ?
Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hello Luc,
I've got mine in nearly mint condition, original packing and some accessories (neck strap, KR-1.5 filter, lens hood) for Euro 1250.- here in Germany (private sale, Rolleiflex 2.8 GX "standard", no collectors modell)
Good luck !

Hi,
I have a second hand Rolleiflex 2.8 GX since Xmas and I noticed the same effect. I have the screen with split-wedge and micro-prism ring and I find it really difficult to focus. The screen in my old Yashica Mat was darker but in my opinion it was much easier to find the exact focus.

Hello !
Does anybody know, whether a Yashica Mat 124 G will fit on this quick
release tripod mount "Rolleifix" for Rolleiflex/-cord TLRs ? Or, what
other quick release systems do you use to fix a
Rolleiflex/-cord/Yashicamat TLR on your tripod head ?
Thanks !

Hi Paul,
I also had a strange problem with my Contax 645 and a flash. It took me some time to find the reason why... ;-)).
Have a look at the flash shoe on the prism finder ! The shoe is normally coated with a black varnish, especially when the camera is new from the box. Take a piece of fine abrasive paper and remove carefully the black varnish on the inner side of the flash shoe on the prism finder. This is electrical ground and the contact between the SCA adapter and the camera may be bad because the varnish may work like an isolator ! After removing the varnish all my flash problems were gone forever ...
