1.
I have a pretty common name: Chris Nichols. So much so, that in the city I live in there are a couple different people that are photographers with that exact name. This has created a bit of confusion for customers. I was wondering if I should think about changing my name to something other than my name. It is also impossible to get a .com. Anyone else have this issue? Not sure what I should do.
Thanks!
2. Hi. About two months ago I was asked to join a stock photography

site. Yay! Which I was totally excited about right away. However,

owning just a film slr, I've run into some problems. Each picture is

supposed to be 300 dpi. Which, if I scan my 4x6s at that, I end up

with around 1300 x 1700 pixels. This gives me what is classified as a

medium sized photo on stock sites and is not very desirable for

clients. Many clients are buying at anywhere from 3500-5000 pixels.

Now, I could blow each one of my photos up to 8 x 10....which still

isn't that close to 3500/5000 pixels. I've tried resizing in

Photoshop CS to 3000, and it looks somewhat okay, but it can be very

messy pixel wise. I was wondering if there is a different/good way of

getting my film shots to that level, or am I just going to have to

bite the bullet and go digital(which at this point, I can't really

    afford).

    thanks, chris

  3. I've decided to break free from my XP2 comfort zone and purchased

some Delta 100, PanF 50 and FP4 125. I have a couple of questions on

these. I usually rate my XP2 400 @ 320 and have had great results in

doing that. For each of the three mentioned above what's a good

rating for each of these films, or do you get best results using them

at their regular speed. Also, is it a good idea to refrigerate the

    above film???

If you have had experience with these films any other info on them

would be greatly appreciated...i.e. what you use them for(portraits,

    candids, landscape...etc.)

    Thanks,

    Chris

  4. Hi...just recently my minolta's shutter won't release for whatever

reason...forgive my ignorance, but could this be a battery problem?

If not, about how much does it cost to get that type of thing fixed?

Do X-700s often have a problem with the shutter sticking?

  5. I'm looking to buy an autofocus, and I've seen this on keh.com and

ebay for a pretty reasonable price. If you own or have owned this

camera, tell me what the pros and cons of this camera.

  6. Okay...I'm currently looking to upgrade from my manual focus Minolta

X-700 to an AF SLR. I don't have much money to spend on one. So,

I'm always looking for a good buy. Currently the N90 on B & H goes

for about 750.00 (body only). However, on ebay, it's selling for

about 320-350...w/lenses...used, but still in good shape. What I am

wanting to know is if this is a good buy, or do N90s general have a

low resale...are they in low demand? And one more question....What

are the good points and bad points about this camera? I realize that

is a broad question to raise, but if you own or have owned the camera

tell me why you liked or hated it or even loved it....

    Thanks

    Chris
