Ya. I like neatimage. I have also heard of a program called "noise ninja." I am unaware of any noise reduction utilities currently available for apple users. I used to be scared of jacking the ISO up, I guess, but it really isnt that bad, and programs like neatimage can really help.

I think that, compositionally, this is the best shot you have posted online right now. The blur isn't that awful, given the settings you were shooting at. Too bad it really isn't printable at a large size though.

You can get pretty good results reducing high ISO noise with programs like neatimage, so especially when you're shooting digital, I think the best bet is often to jack the ISO up if you have to, and then fix it later.

I think the LCD screen on my friend's D2h looked bigger than my D100 screen, but not significantly bigger. Much bigger screens would suck up a lot more battery power, I'm sure. They would also be more expensive and might be more delicate (maybe?). It is pretty easy to zoom in to view your images at a larger size on the d100, if you want/need to, though.

The selective focus works well. The person youve focused on also happens to be wearing a different color shift, which is nice.

Although the composition and selective focus is good, when I look at the large size image, it is obvious that the subject that is in focus is blurry. How slow was your shutter speed?

Haha. Thanks Scott. I think I'm probably about as good a snowboarder as the dude in the picture (my brother). Hopefully I do a better job at taking pictures than I do at snowboarding. I have fun doing both, though, and thats what counts, right?

Good composition. I like how the first stuffed animal fills a good part of the frame, and the other maybe 2/5ths of the frame provides good background/contextual information.

This is pretty interesting. I don't get what is going on though.

Everything you have posted - all of your shots here are amazingly excellent. So many of your pictures here are deserving of being hung on the wall. You make me look bad, and that makes me want to work harder. Thanks for sharing. Great job.

I used a 16mm full frame fisheye lens for this picture. The specific lens I have is this russian fisheye lens with the brand name "zenitar." For only about $150 new, it is very good value.
