I looked at the other photograph with these subjects and I found them both intriguing. I would hard pressed to select one I preferred, but I think one is slightly stronger.
It has a nice, warm feeling to it.

I really like the contrast of this photo and the texture of the stones. The spot in the lower right is a little over exposed, but I like the contrast.
How do you like the Dimage? I'm thinking about buying one.

This was on the highly rated photos page and it just jumps off the page. I might agree with the other comment and crop out the door and see how it works. Then again, it might balance out the left side.

I like the lines that lead you up. The windows lead you up to. Good shot.

I've seen several photographs of this subject, but this one really stands out. Kudos.

Composition and stark contrast of color really grabs your attention

2nd day out with my new Canon G2. Digital gives you a lot of freedom
to play with immediate feedback.
This lobby was almost limitless in photo opportunities. If you're in
Atlanta, check it out.

Thanks for your comments.
This angle is looking up to the upper floors from the lobby in the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta.
I'm getting ready to add some new photos from the same location. It's just a treasue trove of potential photos. Kudos to the architects.

I really like the effect of the back lighting. The only thing I would change is the framing. I would give the subject a little more "look-room."

This is the first set of pictures with my new digital camera. I got
lucky with an intriguing location -- the lobby of the Marriott
Marguis in downtown Atlanta.

Great perspective! You have good eye.

I've been toying around with the idea of using both white and black backgrounds for portraits of my two girls. You make me want to consider black, too. Did you use some sort of studio lighting on this? It looks like natural light too me because of it's soft quality.
-
Rick: Thanks for the suggestion. You're right. It's a much stronger picture with only black at the top. I guess I liked the flare too much.

Thanks for your comments on my Emma. Emmas certainly make great subjects and you've done a great job with capturing this one. I've done a couple shots of my Emma in BW and I really like the treatment.

I was playing around with a blanket and getting a good shot of my
Emma.

I like the out of focus background. It looks like motion and really focuses the viewer on the subject.
-
I really like the motion that blurs the background because it makes me focus on the subject. Good job.

I think the dog's expression is as good as the girls!

Out of your Northern Lights folder, I'd post this one for comment. I think it's the strongest.

Gigi Wigs in Kansas City. Wish I had a polarizing filter. What do
you think? I liked the off-beat factor of elements and the color.
