The juxtaposition of two forms of modernism - sculpture and Big Mac- surrounded by litter and pigeons serves to provide a Brian Sewell-like commentary on an otherwise missable portrait of urban life.
-
Your obsessions with posting images so small (presumably to prevent downloads and printing) means that we cannot really get a proper look at them. at this size, the lights look burned out.
-
Lighting is spot on, colour is heavenly and great composition. I spend hours each week on the trains and I only wish my journeys took me through land like this.
-
having said that, there is the issue of that very appealing shuttered window background. I think this should be worked into the composition - uniform texture to make a nice visual balance to the wrought iron on the staircase.
Damn it, I want to go and photograph this staircase!
-
I like this, but I think it would have been a little easier on the eye if you had lined up the pillar to the side of the staircase instead of behind it.
-
I had to scan the negative to get the image I was looking for.
Do you think this was a particularly difficult photo to develop?
-
I hope they were all new shoes and not used.
Is this a wish come true?
-
Picture perfect if you can crop out the mullah.
I love the saturation.
-
A little creative cropping would increase the impact of this already dramatic shot.
Give the bloke on the bike a purpose in life. Push him forward.
Well done

Hot Spring day anxious to get to your destination.
I can feel your pain.

Aspirational.
Thanks.

This poor chap looks like he has a left facial nerve palsy.
-
I can't get my head round this.
-
There is a calm stillness in this photo that may never be reproduced again.
I think the only thing missing the mark here is S.Dickerson's comment and rating.
More please.

Odd title, then it is a slightly odd picture.
I was directed here by a comment on one of my pics.
It would be good to see the original colour shot to compare.

Poignant
Empty chairs waiting for the return of their owners.
Nostalgia at its best, the better for the black an white. Well done.

Interesting expression with adroit punctuation provided by the shiny earring.

I will show you the original when I see you next. The scanner has made heavy weather of it
