This caught my eye, but would be much better if the foreground were in focus (f22 maybe with tripod or a wider lens).
-
I think the composition is OK (but what do I know). Improvement can come from waiting for the right light. Michael Fatali sometimes waits for 5 days for the right light.

For a good portrait you should put the main light above nose level, maybe 2 feet higher, and the fill light nose level but 1.5 stops darker. Make sure the main light is on your right about 6 feet, for this reverse orientation type of shot.

I think you can also get a headshot from this, which I find more interesting actually.

Nice photo, but why so dark?

With more light ...

Great composition.

Where is this located? I like these nature swimming area shots.
-
Nice composition! Was this a candid shot? And where is this?
-
What lens is that? I'm a Nikon guy. Is this guy left-handed?
-
Nice composition and framing.

I think this is one of the best in the folder. I would like to see a face shot of this woman with the light higher (or her lower) and the light more
frontal, more like Rembrandt lighting.

Mysterious. The sun is shining, right? ... but the sky is dark. Pretty cool. I would have put more space around the person.

It definitely has a digital color look. I knew
it was digital right away.

I like this one out of the whole folder, probably
because of the 3D effect achieved with the
columns. The facial lighting is good also.
-
This is by far the best one of the five.

Did you print this in a darkroom ?
If so, it would be better to make the face lighter and forget the white shirt, let it get blown out.
Nice face shot actually. However it looks like
you may have been past the safe focal length for
faces (135mm).
