I'm astounded at the DOF, is this a fairly large flower? Perhaps the size of a hand? The colour is wonderful. Was this shot taken using a tripod?
-
Excellent, now I have to see your other work
-
Excellent action shot. Pity about the wire in the background.
-
Nice action shot, but for me it needs either more DOF, or perhaps a lot less of the tree. Of course the longer lens required makes aiming at the moving bird even more difficult.
-
I'm sorry, but the juxtaposition is rediculous
-
This just looks like it was taken on a cheap digital camera, rather than a neato effect.
-
The flare near the left eye annoys me somewhat.
-
I can't see anything much. Some sand?
-
I agree that this is a great angle. What lens did you use, it looks short?
-
It's a little hard to pick out the foreground from the background. I've been thinking about carrying around a piece of black cloth to help in these situations but havn't got around to doing it yet.
-
Maybe a half stop more exposure?
-
How are the 'water steps' created? They are fascinating.
-
Actually this is very good. What is hidden is implied. It does give the impression of a bloody face after some horrendous violence. Next step? How about a real face?
-
The shark-gills effect. For some reason it always evokes an emotional response. This also resembles suffocation. Truly nightmarish. Thanks for the inspiration.

Please don't be offended. I find shots like this of very little interest. Perhaps if the bird was involved in some unexpected action, or there was some more colour & shape in the background it would be more striking. Of course technically it's excellent. Also of course, what would I know :-)
-
is it overexposed? Nice technique regardless. Addition of the human increases the interest hugely.
-
Seems to me that you could crop out the lower half of the shot. I'm curious why the top of the head is so dark.
-
This is very low contrast, perhaps it's because of the film
(800ASA consumer film is quite low quality I've been finding). Perhaps the exposure. I usually find that fill flash improves flower shots out of sight. Even using the builtin flash unit. What did you scan this on? Did you do any post-scan-processing? I usually find that auto-levels or adjusting the brightness and contrast improves problems like this massively. What sort of light was it shot under? An overcast day will improve detail by removing shadows, but reduce contrast. I suspect that to get really good flower shots you need a great deal of control over light.

6 layers of frame added? The shot itself is nice, but it's a bit like looking through a keyhole. I already have photo.net webpage, netscape, window manager, desktop, monitor, desk and my glasses framing your picture.

Very blue. Longer shutter speed makes the reflections mushy. I'm not sure what the subject is.
-
Astounding detail, nice exposure.
-
Super saturated. I find with negative film that I have to underexpose or use flash to stop this. Not quite sure why flash works, it doesn't always.
-
I think that this type of shot is very difficult to get right. Most of the area of the image is out of focus. The parts that are in focus are engrossing.

At the top, even the clouds are blue. Me thinks use of a blue grad or photoshop. I like teh path though.
