Good guess.

Hah that is pretty weird.
Thanks for the comment Matt. Not too many keepers from that night. The only thing I dont like about the shot is the flash didnt catch him good enough to stop his face, well it did but not well enough.
Do you have any from that night to put up?

I shot this awhile ago and finally got around to scanning the slide.
I totally forgot that I took it. Think the exposure was over a
minute or so, shot around midnight using I believe Kodak consumer
slide film. Comments welcome.

Comments welcome. Thanks.

Yeah its not all of the images you have posted, only some of them. Not knocking your work, just trying to help out.

Not much for photoshop myself, still a lot to learn. Are you setting your black white and gray points before you scan? I have never used the coolscan but my scanner lets me do that and seems to bring all the colors into order, I am pretty sure you can do that in PS too, but not sure how off the top of my head.
Do your slides look the same as the scan? If so it could just be an exposure issue when it was shot. In the case of this photo if you are using a center weighted average meter then the sky at the top of the scene is going to throw off your meter readings.

Just a comment on some of the pics you have submitted. Some amazing subject matter but I think it is hurt by the type of film and or scanner you are using. I know there are some pretty vibrant colors in there but they just aren't coming through.

Another Holga Photo, taken at a gravity sports event, shot with Kodak
T400CN. Comments welcome.

Another Holga shot. Had it on hand while covering a gravity sports
event. Shot with Kodak T400CN.

Thanks for your comments. It actually isnt a fisheye lens, just the standard cheap plastic lens of the holga (50mm I think). Heavy vignetting creates the illusion of a fisheye.

Shot with a Holga with 3200 Ilford Delta (I think). Thoughts welcome.

Thank you Marta.

Actually I should add, that the polarizer didn't have to do too much, the sky was really really blue to begin with. Should have tried a couple shots without.

Velvia + Polarizer, if you couldnt tell.

Shot from one of the bridges 70-200 + 1.4TC. Not sure on exposure
details. Comments welcome.

If only it was sharp. Such a bummer.

Wish I could edit previous comments.
You're right, I understand where your coming from. Go ahead and write away, but I am really looking for critiques on the photo itself.
Thats all I meant. I'll just stay out of the political commentary.

This is a photography website Peter. I took photos of anyone that was on the podium. I'm not looking to talk politics. I'm looking for constructive criticism of my work.
-
Thank you for commenting but subject aside what do you think of the photo? I am not looking for political commentary.
Thanks. Maybe I should retitle the photo.
