Nice image but I also like the fact that your shadow (I presume) in the lower left corner of the photo makes for an interesting shot. It appears as if the skier is being photographed by the actual shadow.

The individuals who commented on showing the beautiful world strike me as people who would also ignore these kind of underprivileged persons even if they may be their very neighbours. Love this image; be moved by it or be angry about it; but you cannot ignore it. If one wants to ignore this scene in an image, it is most like that he or she ignores the real people that cross his/her path with similar needs. Photography is not just about the "beautiful" things. Sometimes we need to be yanked out of our comfort zones into the reality zone and I think this photo does this. It makes me think; it makes me sad; it makes me angry. The eyes of the subject and the stuff he has in hand along with the wolfskin on him tell a gripping story to all. Even to those who may want to ignore it.

This is just great. I like the fact that this photo moves from small scale to large scale, focussing on the little details such as the flowers and grass and giving us a colourful piece of the sky as well.

I love this and I find the composition superb. The sloping hill in the background, the line of houses and the sheep make a "Z" shape and is very appealing. The fog also adds some "atmosphere". Just fantastic.

The spots of light from the holes in the hat are nicely sprinkled on this pretty face and seem to be leading the eye down toward the lips. Excellent.

Fantastic portrait. The positioning of the face to the right is very appealing and works well with the space on the left not to mention the toning. One of your best IMO.
