  1. In the wake of last week's tragedy, this photo is comforting to me. I like seeing one of our nation's landmarks shown in a powerful, impenetrable way. The slant of the building in the shot is very effective and I like that from the dark foreground springs such a striking building.

I do not think that this photo needs a caption. Haven't you heard that a picture is worth a thousand words? This photo is about emotion and the viewer realizes that this shot was in a moment of tragedy. I will get off my soapbox now and comment on how I like the fact that this shot is vertical and cropped in closely to the main subject(s). Great job.

Yet another person loves your photo. I must say that I don't mind that the arch is cropped. As some may say, the mind fills in the gap. You beautifully captured the reflections of the background colors in the water. I liked the fact that the curve of the background colors is present. Great job. This photo is inspirational.

I honestly can't tell what the subject is intended to be, but I really like this photo. The colors are nice and the blurred action really makes the moment more realistic. This is a fun shot that I really enjoyed, even though the subject is more towards the middle. Great job!
  2. This photo gives me the feel of tobacco with the many textures of the roof, stones, and the tobacco. I like the patterns, framing, and repitition of elements. I also like that although the center pole is centered, the right pole is not visible, I think that would have been too much. The only suggestion I have to make is that there is a shadow on the right side that I find to be distracting and to detract from the image. Great job! Very inspirational about how we can make everyday images interesting!
  3. I liked the way that you focused this shot on the beautiful colors of the clouds and the way your slow shutter speed caused the clouds to show movement. One change that I would suggest is that you either use the filter or not include so much of the sand in the photo because it is too dark to discern any details, which becomes distracting. Lowering the horizon line would also help alleviate this problem and emphasize the clouds--which seem to be the the focus of the photograph. Great job.
