  1. This cemetary sits in the middle of a busy thoroughfare and I had

    wondered about it every time I passed by on the bus. I finally took

    the time to take a closer look near the end of my stay in Singapore.

    The cemetary apparently has a caretaker, but as you can see, nothing

    much is taken care of here. Two things struck me about the place: How

    it sits right next everything that's so modern about Singapore and

    how it was set aside and still considered holy ground.

     

    So I've tried to capture the endless array of headstones in this

    shot. What do you think of this composition?

     

    Any ideas on how I could make it look more archaic and emphasize the

    age? Thanks!

  2. I think if you had taken a longer exposure and tried panning with the biker, it would have been more eye catching; it would imply more motion in the subject's actions. Also, something I've seen suggested is to leave space for the subject to "go"...in this case, that would mean have some empty space on the left side to imply that the biker is moving in that direction.
