1.
I wasn't sure which forum to post this to because it applies to all brands. Would there be any advantage for Nikon, in this case, make a digital camera that had no video capabilites. Would a camera like this result in increased capabilities in other areas such as frame rate, buffer size, etc. ?

 2.
A friend of mine is telling me that I will get better result if I update to a D7100 with DX lenses. I dispute this. All my lenses are Nikon 2.8D, except for one cheapo 70-300ED 1.4-5.6D. I maintain that using non DX lenses on a DX camera should give better results. He doesn't. My other option is to go with a D600, dust issues aside.

 3.
1024X768, 32bit/70Hz. This has not changed for years. Apparently something has changed on the Photo.net site. I can't prove this, but is seems like this first started when there were links to facebook, etc.

 4.
Sometime back I posted a question on this same subject. I now have further info. On my computer, windows XP SP3 and a non wide screen monitor, Photo.net's web site at some point started to display wider than my monitor width. All other web sites are normal. The standard answer previously was to change the screen setting to something other than 100%. To me this is a bandaid at best due to the fact that recently I used an old winXP SP3 computer with a non wide screen monitor, and your web site did not go beyond the width of the screen. This happened on my computer sometime within the last year, I believe. I could not find any internet explorer 8 setting differences between my computer and the one I tried that worked, e.g. page settings or encoding. My encoding has always been set to auto select as is the computer that displays correctly.

 5.
Don't get me wrong, I in no way shape or means agree with there assessment. I should have clarified my original posting. The "average" listing was not in the text of the review of the D700. It was in one of those listings where different products are given a number in comparison to each other, along with limited text.
