Thanks to all for your comments...Jeffery, the Condors are routinely captured at a U.S.Fish and Wildlife facility near where I live in the Southern California mountains.They are given physicals to monitor the lead levels in their blood. A large part of their diet is the remains of hunted Deer carcasses which contain lead from the ammunition used to hunt the Deer.The Condors ingest the lead which is extremely toxic to the birds.The California Dept.of Fish and Game passed a new law banning the use of lead bullets in existing Condor ranges.
