I have been waiting for an A3 printer from Canon to replace the
9900. I would like something thats makes prints that last longer
than a couple months without fading. I have been waiting for the
new canon, will it ever arrive? Score one for Epson. I would also
like an 18-200 IS EF-s Lens like the Nikon. Will it ever come? Score
one for Nikon. I guess Canon cant dominate every sector of the
market? Ohhh ya I would also like more time to go out and shoot.
Merry New Year.

What software are you using? Try downloading Pixmantec and compare the images to your current software. It appreas many people have solved banding problems with software.

ICamera on 14th and Franklin in Oakland has treated me well.

He has repaired a lens for me in short order before.

LOL. Funny stuff. I love hissy fits. I ve been thinking the same thing. Maybe a new 1V to compete with the F6. I was very tempted to get a EOS 3, I was in AZ and Tempe camera has 2 perferct EOS 3's for 299.00.

Far better than canon's raw converter and gives me better results than photoshop.

I dont want to sound "mean" but the software that canon supplies is "iffy". You would be better served by downloading Picasa II and Raw shooter Essentials. My canon software is still sitting in its sealed packing LNIB. I have a card reading, I find it a far better soulution. Also, the new Elements 4 is coming out, a real bargain for 99.00.

I have to be at the MLK Berkeley POW WOW sat, but maybe I can catch the Sunday show. That second Pic is pretty cool, are you up high to get that angle or are they really low?

Ken! I live in Oakland, Its time for me to whip out my 70-300 DO and post some photos and stop all the haters. Ken do you know of a web site with the Schedule? Cool shot!

Get the Elan 7 or II. I have owned them both and they are great, with upside of being very quiet.

I guess I just got a stellar copy or maybe my L was below par? Just another circular argument. In this case many circles the next smaller than the next. (DO Joke, Sorry) Bye the way, that is a very handsome lens thanks for the photo! The lens you were using to take the photo seems to be very sharp. That is of course unless its anything other than an L lens, then it appears to be a little soft.

Ken, LOL. Maybe it was an exterior reveiw. Could have posted a picture of the lens.

Richard? Do you own a 70-300 DO? I do and I also owned a 70-200 2.8 L. I was so satisfied with the DO lens that I sold the L lens. The DO is every bit as good as the L lens from 70-200 and better from 200-300 ;) . Granted I miss the 2.8 to 5.6 performance but I rarly used it at those F stops. I dont miss the wgt. and size. I have never had the ghosting or flare issue arise and i use if for sunsets. I did have the old 75-300 IS and was unhappy with it. But since I will be using the 1.6 crop for years to come, I have made all my lenses that much better.

I have this setup. Horrid. You can measure your dowload time in hours and not minutes. Ipod are for music. Get a real device like the Epson P2000 and you will be happy. ;)

Ken you are correct. The 18 month product cycle for the 20D will be over by spring. The only Mystery will be the name. Lets see D30-D60-10D-20D = DD. I am betting 12MP. My last bet will be a 10mm EF-S.

It seems canon is more interested in taking over the printer world these days or so my friend says from the canon shop in SF. They have ignored the High level prosumer point and shoot market, guess its drying up. No replacment for Pro 1 or G6.

Ok lazniess gene has been fixed. http://pmai.org/events/pma2006/

Iam not an idiot as you imply, but I am not easily offended either. If you follow Canons product line, (geeks only), An opening will exist in the bottom of product line that the 300d was holding. A D50 killer if you will. I can see Canon pumping out a really cheap DSLR below the 350XT placeholder for 500 bucks. I know this is pure speculation but all you have to do is look at thier film camera product line to figure it out. The DSLR product time hasnt had time to "mature" yet. I guess only time will tell if I am strage or wierd. But thanks for thoughts, no such thing as bad press! Cheers.

I had the mamiya 6 and really miss it. You will be disappointed when comparing the prints at 8*10. You will love having autofocus and a small rig. Get the XT and the 24 2.8, 35 2.0, 50 1.8 and 85 1.8. You will be very happy, no budget busters and all very small.

The 50 2.5 macro is a highly rated lens on photodo. I had one and really liked it. I traded it to get the 100 2.8 macro and regret getting rid of it. It made a great walk around lens for street photography. The 1.8 is good for low light but how often do you really need the extra stop? The 50 2.5 was very sharp at 2.5 the 50 1.8 is not sharp at 1.8 and doesnt really get shapr until 4.0, at least mine.

I just got the Canon product Brochure for Fall and they have dropped
the 300D. I will be curious to see if they have a replacment for it
to match the Nikno D50.
Wish List for the new year. Canon are you listening.

Jim? What your trying to say is, Nikon can make a good one but Canon can't.
