Tony, I love this work, but not able to say why, so I won't presume to rate it. But amazed at how well lit the faces are though all the light seems to be from behind.
A couple of questions if I may.
(1) Would you still use Tri-X Pan for this type of work (if you still do this type of work)? Is this why this shot is not ruined by high contrast? What about the C41 type B&W film?
(2) How would (did) you set yourself up to be ready for this type of night shot? Obviously used a low shutter speed (from swirl of the lady's coat on left). Do you just pre-set the aperture? Did you get time to compose, or did you have to squeeze it off quickly?
