I bought my T2 when it came out on the market and yes, I have noticed it has gotten slower to extend the lens and withdrawn it. Then I compared the batteries of today vs. the old days and that's where I found one of the issues, the older batteries held a slightly higher mAmp. Batteries of today are not made for the draw from a T2 or similar cameras. Hope that explanation will give one of the explanations to this issues.
