the other day at Black Creek Park in Fultondale, Alabama. Please feel

I appreciate your thoughts and your suggestion. The low-key, low-contrast nature of the photograph was intentional; I feel like it evokes the mood of the scene as it was that day. Perhaps it's ineffective, but that was my intention nonetheless.

On a misty, rainy morning in June, a neighbor allowed me access to the

woods behind his home for the purpose of photographing this scene. On

most days, it's a nice enough scene, but on this day, the climactic

conditions come together to make it particularly appreciable.

Thanks, Amy. I first saw this a couple years ago, but didn't have the right camera/lens available at the time. I have returned a couple of times since, but until this occasion, either lighting or lack of nearby cattle rendered the scene unsuitable for my purposes.

Steve, thanks for your several comments. This building has since come under new ownership, and the wood framework and plywood removed. I was saddened a bit by that. But it certainly made me glad I actually stopped to photograph it.
