    For what it's worth, the 20 years old Nikon Scan software works fine on Windows 11 as long as you install unsigned drivers for the Coolscan 5000. I've tested Vuescan with my 5000 and vastly prefer Nikon Scan which I use in conjunction with Negative Lab Pro in Lightroom. Here is a video tutorial : It's really not that complicated.
