This actually was shot with a polarizer. The scanned image has lost a bit of the color and sharpness of the original print. I guess I need a better scanner.

Nice, but I think that the rain(?) in the background is distracting. It creates a dark vertical band that seems to disrupt the simplicity of the scene. Just my 2 cents.

I actually like the composition here. The plant is nicely silhouetted against the sunset adds interest to the scent. I don't think that the plant is large enough to dominate the scene and is positioned well on the right hand side. The exposure is excellent as well. Question: Did the Rebel do this, or were you set to manual? The reason I ask is that I have an Elan 7E which pretty much has the same zone metering system as the Rebel 2000.

The light hitting the surface of the trombone is sweet. Nice.

Cool shot Kevin. Nice framing.
-
A tad more depth of field to bring the rope in the foreground into focus, but otherwise a very good shot.

Nice pic. You have some really inspired stuff in your portfolio. I love the prairie flowers at sunset and the Lulu lake photo. Keep shooting.

Atlanta local? I'll bet this would make a killer shot from just a bit futher back at night. The brown building in the background really lites up nice at night.

Steven, You have a good eye for a picture. I liked several of your night shots. This one has good shadow work. Goes to show that you don't need the $1500 camera to take good shots.

The sun rays really make this shot. Great colors here.
-
Sky good. It is the subject of the picture after all.

Amazing photo. The only minor thing I might add is that the light(?) in the upper left hand corner seems to distract my eye from the simplicity of the scene. Other than that, you did a perfect job with the composition here. I wish I could do this.
-
Personally, I think this one might work if NONE of the surface structures were visable. Just the towers. You might need to change your shooting location to make this effective though.

Good job. I do feel the anxiety of the early morning bus ride. The reflections on the surface of the bus are well done.
-
I think it works here. The sky is really the subject with Rainier being the frame. I could see this as a poster size.

I am a beginning photographer and would like some advice on this
shot. I was going for a mood with the grainy film, but dont know that
I achieved it.
-
I shot a roll of Ilford 3200 and was fairly pleased with the results,
but wonder if the grain actually improved the result.

Excellent quality shot.

This shot really gets my attention. The blurred background works perfectly for this shot. Really good.

Good shadow work here. The exposure is right on.
