I bought a Rolleicord VB, early model type 1. The shutter cock wasn’t working, I knew this when bought. I have it in service with a very reputable person getting a full CLA, he has been around forever and very used to this model. He called and said he was almost done , everything working except film advance doesn’t automatically stop after each exposure ,, I would have to manually stop winding by number in window .. He wasn’t sure if this was normal with the early model 1 version. Does anyone have any knowledge of this. Thanks. Mike

Hi, I just purchased a Rolleicord VB model 1. I knew it had a locked shutter cock when I bought it. It is out right now getting a full CLA by a very reputable technician, I’d rather not mention his name. He called me and told me the film advance knob doesn’t stop automatically at the next frame. He found that odd and is having trouble fixing that component. He was wondering if the earlier ones didn’t stop automatically, and you would just stop at the number in the viewfinder. Does anyone have information in this? Thanks Mike

Outstanding photos! Thanks for posting. I have a Rolleicord Vb and a Yashica D with Yashinon. Although they are both capable cameras, I find myself grabbing the Yashica more often to shoot. You have inspired me to shoot more. A question a little off topic. What did you do to digitize your photos. Did you use a flatbed scanner, DSLR etc. Thanks again Mike
