Interesting composition and good exposure. The cut off building on the right makes the composition much more dynamic and leads the eye into the frame.

I like the exposure and subject matter on this one. I'm not sure the bottom 25% of the frame is necessary, since the field stubble is the least interesting part of the photo. Generally, I prefer using the full frame and not cropping, so I can see why you might resist that idea. However, cropping it 25% would also get the photo to adhere to the rule of thirds. Nice shot.

I like the composition and the subject matter (I like photographing grain elevators, too). I also like the thematic contrast between the oil tankers and the grain elevator. My only suggestion might be to lighten up the shadows a bit.

Comments appreciated on high-key floral macro.

Well, I think your processing worked great.

Hi Walter, I see you are still shooting beautiful work. Terrific, saturated colors and I especially like how the texture and design of the bricks picks up the evening light.

Thanks!

This is the type of photography I like best: you've managed to find something you weren't even aware was there. Nice.,

This was shot Napa Valley in November. Trying to get that end of fall
feel.

Michael, thanks for your comments on several of my photos. Since many of my favorite photographers left Photo.net, I haven't been very active here for over a year.

No, this was taken in Pacific City on the Oregon coast. It was a very unusual, very colorful sunset.

Doug, thanks for your comment. I miss many of the people on PN, but I don't miss the system (ratings, etc.). I'm currently posting photos here, where people actually critique/comment on photos: http://www.flickr.com/people/80269053@N00/
I'm in two critique groups there . . . if you'd be interested in joining, I'd be happy recommend you. You'll recognize some old PN acquaintances.

Asla, I've just been paging through your portfolio and I'm really impressed with your ice abstracts. This one in particular is really beautiful--the lighting is terrific!
