kathyb 37 Posted October 19, 2009 I like the lighting and composition here. I would only suggest a slight increase in contrast. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted October 20, 2009 Compelling work. When I saw that updated portrait and the bird I had a vision for this image so I lowered the density to give it a different feel - never to say it is better but an exchange of ideas between photographers/artists. PS 6/6 but not identified. Link to comment
markvmueller 0 Posted October 20, 2009 Lovely image Linda, nice soft tones and inviting composition. Cheers, Mark. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted October 21, 2009 A quiet triumph. It captures the sleepiness of this time of year quite well and fits perfectly into your portfolio. Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted October 21, 2009 Beautiful capture, Linda. I like the scene, the perspective and the atmosphere. Excellent shot! Warm regards Link to comment

ldavidson 4 Posted October 21, 2009 I always love to see how someone else would handle one of my images. It is so much fun, and also good to learn from others. I like your version, it is definitly "darker" and more ominous. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this, made my day. BTW, I don't really look as good as I appear in this bio shot. I had to do an incredible amount of gruelling photo-shop work! :-) Link to comment
armando jorge 0 Posted October 22, 2009 Beautiful composition with a great perspective. Regards Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 25, 2009 Another great comp. Linda, and aptly titled. It has a very 'solitary' feel to it for me.....the mist in the background adds to the 'mood'. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted October 25, 2009 Thank you both for commenting. I appreciate it. Gail, we had several days of drizzle and fog. I think it is exciting to take photos in this kind of light. I spent several days driving around and shot hundreds of images. Best wishes! Link to comment
katzpjs 50 Posted October 25, 2009 Old wooden fence, tall dry grass, a crow and the fog. What could be better than this? Tony, I prefer Linda's image over yours because the fog shows up in the original. I think the fog is a major selling point for this shot. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted October 26, 2009 Thank you Shawn. It's good to hear from you. We have been having a very foggy fall and I have shot hundreds of pictures. You get some amazing effects. All the best, Linda Link to comment
alfbailey 3 Posted October 27, 2009 I have to agree with Shawn on this one, the fog gives the image a great deal of mood and character and is definately a major contributory element to an overall well balanced shot! (in my humble opinion of course) Kind Regards Alf Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted October 27, 2009 Linda, this image has tons of mood for me. I like the mysterious background, the starkness of the crow on an endless fence, and the grasses enveloping the whole scene. Very much a fall image. Wonderful work. Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted October 28, 2009 Thank you both for visiting and commenting. I have been having a lot of fun shooting in the fog lately. I will be posting some more. It really does create a mysterious mood. Thanks again. All the best. Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted October 28, 2009 Your original shot is, IMHO, the better version as it brings with it the atmoshere of the day. Love the way the tall grasses are trying to hide the fence,,,then there's the bird!.....Great scene Link to comment
