Sunrise BullDog Cove

dennismk

This sunrise shot was taken by my wife, Victoria Cole, while I was still asleep but worked in PS by me into the dark foreboding tones that I love so well. So this is a collaborative effort. She took the photo and I turned it into a darker moodier image. She is working on her own vision of the image which undoubtedly be more golden and brighter in tone. I wish I had been up, but oh no, I was still passed out from too much rum. We deeply enjoy our time on our boat and plan to spend more time in the future. It keeps us close after 28yrs of marriage.

Excellent image. I'm also glad to hear of another happy marriage. The collaboration reminds me of the AA quote about the negative being the score and the print being the performance.

Very nice moody image--could be sharper, as another poster noted. Also, this would have been been if shot on traditional b&w film, then toned copper or sepia in the darkroom (this may just be my bias against photoshopped images--most that I see prints of don't stand up to ones done in the wet darkroom).

Still, this is a very nice shot. I'd like to see your wife's too.

Very nice shot you have here. Great dramatic sky, and the sunrays breaking thru. Very nice. Best regards from Sweden!
